The Wintercrown Pack
General Info
Location: The Pack lives in the Glacier region. They originally lived in the Desert, then moved to the Mountains and Tundra until finally, they came to make their permanent home in the Glaciers.
Climate Zone: The temperatures can range from 32°F to -76°F depending on where a Wolf is at in the territory at any given time. Temperatures hardly ever go above freezing (32°F) unless a Wolf leaves the territory. The territory still sees the different seasons and seasonal changes that those bring, including but not limited to, rain, snow, fog, hail, etc.

Important Info
Defining features: The borders of the Pack’s territory is the mountain range that separates the Glacier and the Tundra areas. Surrounding the Pack’s camp are three large rock formations. In the center of the rock formations is a large rune that seems to have been carved out of ice. Near the Camp, you can find a large body of water that is connected to a river that runs out into the ocean.
Important locations: The Pack has three important places- the large rune just outside of the camp area, their training grounds which reside in a large crater and the Forbidden Area. Other than those places, the Pack usually keeps to the Caves where they hang out and take advantage of the man-made things that were left behind by the Humans.
Religious centers: The large rune. The Pack believes that The Gods put this rune outside of their camp area so that the Herbalist could speak to them more easily on nights with a half moon. Other Pack members are allowed to venture to the Rune, but none may touch it. The only ones allowed to touch it are: King, Queen, Herbalist & the Herbalists apprentice.
Camp
The outside area of the Camp is a large clearing surrounded by three giant cave systems. In the middle of the clearing is a set of two large rocks- this is where the Queen stands to make her announcements to the whole Pack. The Pack stores their prey in the hole formed by the two rocks meeting. This allows their prey to stay fresh for longer and allows them to all eat in one open, yet secure, place.
In the first cave, which is directly behind the announcement rocks, is where the dens for the King & Queen, Herbalist and Council can be found. In the middle of this large, icy cave is a giant Polar Bear pelt. Standing on top of it, is a large silver and blue man-made stone table. This is where the Council, King & Queen meet every morning before the rest of the Pack awakes. They tend to keep a stack of recipes on it as well as a map of the territory that they've managed to create.
On the top left corner of the cave is an entrance into a smaller, but still somewhat big, cave where the King and Queen reside. The pups of the Queen also live here, rather than in the Nursery with the other Mothers, Pups and Pupsitters. During the day or whenever the Queen is gone, whatever Pupsitter is protecting the Queens pups, will stay in the King and Queens den.
Across from the King and Queens den is the Herbalists den. Compared to the King and Queens den, this den is massive. It has many man-made shelves carved into the ice walls where the Herbalist keeps his herbs and medicines. There is a small stream of water that trickles down into a pool that the Herbalist uses to help heal wounds and illnesses. The Herbalist makes his nest towards the back of the cave, hidden behind fallen logs and lichen he's had brought into the cave. Off to the side is a tunnel that leads to a smaller cavern. This is where he places the sick and injured wolves.
In the bottom left corner of the cave, near the entrance, is the den where the Council lives. The members of the Council sleep in a circular pattern, with the most senior members of the Council sleeping in the middle. The Council members tend to decorate their den with skulls, furs and other shiny things they are able to find hidden along the coasts of their Glacier territory.
In the second cave, which is off to the right of the announcement rock, is where the Hunters, Scouts, Guards and the Lieutenant live. In the middle of this cave is a large, torn man-made rug. It has two large rocks on one side which has bushes in between. Next to the one rock, on the other side of the rug, is a large man-made fountain.
In the top left corner of the cave, is the Hunters den. The den is large enough to hold nests for 15 hunters. The nests are usually spread out in the spring and summer months, but moved closer together in the fall and winter months so that all of the wolves stay warmer. The Hunters like to decorate their den with the skulls, feathers, bones and pelts of the prey that they kill.
In the top right corner of the cave, is the Lieutenant's den. This cave is just big enough for the Lieutenant, and their mate if they have one, to live in and to live comfortably in. They often decorate the den with things like claws, teeth, bones and the pelt of animals that they kill or that are brought back to the Camp.
In the bottom right corner, on the right side of the entrance, is the den where the Guards live. There are only ever four guards at a time and, therefore, only ever four nests in the den. Mates are not permitted to stay in this den- they must stay in their own den. Guards typically do not decorate the den, but, when they do, it usually just with pelts of other animals. There is a pelt of a big Polar Bear outside the den entrance.
In the bottom left corner, on the left side of the entrance, is the den where the Scouts live. As there are only ever two scouts in the Pack at a time, there are only ever two nests in this den. Should a Scout take a mate, then that mate is permitted to sleep in the den as well. Scouts use feathers to decorate their den, but nothing else. Outside of the Scouts den is an Arctic Fox pelt.
In the third cave, which is off to the left side of the announcement rock, is where the Storyteller, Wisdom Keepers, Apprentices and the Nursery, which is filled with Mothers and Pups. In the middle of this cave, is a large torn rug that is held down by crumbled ruin of stones that has, over time, had moss and lichen grow on it. On one side of the rug is a Polar Bear pelt and on the other side is a Fox pelt. On the left side of the Cave, between the Wisdom Keepers den and Nursery, are man-made Basins. The Wisdom Keepers keep herbs and other plants in these basins and they tend to these herbs, giving them to the Herbalist once they are ready to be picked.
In the top left corner of the cave, is the Nursery. This is where the Mothers, pups and pupsitters live. This den is massive so that it is able to hold many Mothers and pups at a time. There are usually three to four Pupsitters at a time living in the den. Unlike most of the other dens, the Nursery is not decorated because of the pups.
In the top right corner of the cave, is the Storytellers den. This den is medium sized. In the middle of the den is the nest where the Storyteller sleeps as well as sits and tells stories. Out of all the dens, the Storytellers den is decorated the most with skulls, feathers, pelts and many other things. The Storyteller hardly ever takes a mate and never has pups and therefore is, usually, the only one you will find in the den.
In the bottom right corner of the cave, on the right side of the entrance, is the Apprentices den. This is where all of the Pack's adolescents sleep. The number of Apprentices changes constantly so it's hard to know how many nests are in the den at one time. The Apprentices are only allowed to decorate their den with things that they themselves find, kill or win in battle.
In the bottom left corner of the cave, on the left side of the entrance, is the Wisdom Keepers den. As is with the Apprentices den, there is never a constant number of nests within this den as the number of Wisdom Keepers is constantly changing. There are times when the den may be empty simply because there are no members of the Pack who are old enough to be in this den. The Wisdom Keepers do not generally decorate their den.
